I'm not one to mark St. Valentine's Day in general, but today's RFI Mandenkan 12:00 news broadcast included an amusing segment from Bouaké in Côte d'Ivoire. My colleague/officemate here and I here in Hamburg could not get enough of the second interviewee's classic nouchi-persona which combined the right timbre, French loan-words/code-switching and even semantic content! The whole segment is fun, but we've done a tentative transcription of his words -- jump to ~0:41 for his section. Bonne écoute!
